Well That’s Something

My mom decided to wake me up at 2:20am with, “Sarah, call the police.”  The upstairs neighbor’s were fighting.  So she called them.  They came and knocked on the door and then left after talking to them for a few seconds.  And so, since I couldn’t go back to sleep, I decided to go on the computer…only to realize, I had forgotten to write my blog post.  So, thanks Mom.

I “quit” my job.  And by quit, I mean, stopped working at one Dollar General, and am getting moved to a closer one.  I’m not exactly getting transferred, seeing as how I didn’t ask to be.  I’m just getting moved.

I told you about the management right?  Maybe?  Well, games were being played, minds were being messed with, drama was brewing, and I didn’t want to stick around and wait until the attention was turned onto me.  Nothing was happening directly to me, but I knew that once they didn’t have anyone else to “play” with, I would be next in line.  No thank you.

So, I spent the last few days over at the new store.  See, my boss from the other store moved to this one because it was closer.  It’s kind of like I’m following her.  Inventory was yesterday (Thursday) so she needed my help getting stock put out onto the shelves.  I had a lot of fun.  I got to see what I was getting myself into.  Honestly, it seems much more laid back, and everyone is so friendly, and they like to joke around.  Plus, my mom works right across the street, so after work, I can just walk over to Lowe’s and hang out with her until she’s done.  It’s a great set up.

So, I’ll be off for a while.  I don’t know how long though.  New Boss said that she’ll have to cut hours after inventory, so I might not work a lot.  That’s not a problem with me, I just want to have a job, you know?

As for my bucket list.  I have added:

  • Make a guitar pedal
  • Make a Black Forest cake

I have made a pedal before.  It’s not difficult.  I just have never made one that looks like a pedal (with the case and switches and all that).  Also, Black Forest cake.  Video game reference.  Showing my nerdiness.

That’s all for now.  Thank you for reading my blog.  I really appreciate it.  I feel like, not enough people thank the people who actually make the thing they are doing, worth while.  So, thank you.

Talk to you all next Friday!

Transistors, capacitors, resistors, an LED, possibly an IED if the pedal calls for one, solder, soldering tool, a “bread board” (also called something else, but I don’t know what it is. You use this to practice making the pedal before you transfer it onto a circuit board), circuit board, audio wires, the case (that the circuit board goes into), a schematic of the pedal you wish to make, and the knowledge of how to read it.

That’s about it. I’m sure there are other things I’m forgetting though.
