The Courtroom And The Denial

After Jesus gets picked up at the garden, He is then taken to trial.

Matthew 26:57 And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away…

The first set of steps (the ones in the middle of the pictures) are the supposed steps that Jesus walked up.  In the distance, you can see the Mount of Olives (top right).

This is supposedly where they kept Jesus before His trial (although the Bible says nothing about Him being in a “prison” of some sort).

Matthew 26:59 Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death.

This is a room that shows, if it’s not the real room, what the room would have looked like when Jesus was on trial.

Luke 22:55-62 Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.

This is a sculpture telling the story of the people saying, “This man was also with Him,”  and Peter denying them (Luke 22:56, along with Matthew 26:69, Mark 14:67, and John 18:17).
