What is this? A “beauty” product on my blog? Yep, you see it right! I’ve been wanting to do a review like this for a while, but I never knew what to pick. Thanks to Influenster, I don’t have to think about it.
This is actually a pretty good product. I have naturally oily skin, so you wouldn’t think that I’d need something to hydrate my skin. But what I’ve found is, after I use a cleanser that makes my face dry out, I’ll spritz this on once and I won’t have to think about it the rest of the day. I think it might actually make my skin less oily, if that’s even possible. The smell is wonderful too, so that’s a plus. Also, it’s vegan, so theres no animal derived ingredients or by products.
So, on this card, there are four ways to use this product: hydrating skin, primer, setting spray, and you can use it for your brushes/applicators/etc. I tested all of these methods, just for you (even though I don’t wear makeup). Love you all! Here we go.
I sprayed this on half of my face before applying anything, and I do believe the makeup went on smoother and more even.
So, here comes the fun part. Or, for me, the not so fun part. I don’t wear makeup, so these pictures are for dramatic purposes only! Don’t I look so happy?
I applied the concealer without the spray on half of my face, and with the spray on the other half.
So, as you can see, on the right side I got a little more even coverage than on the left. You can’t really tell too much of a difference with the concealer, so I tried blush.
This is not how I apply blush. In fact, I don’t even wear blush. This is for product example only!
I applied the blush to the right side of my face first (first picture). It went on really harsh and didn’t go very far.
But the left side (right picture)! It was super pigmented, but, I got a lot more coverage with the same amount of product. Honestly, that blush just kept going! I feel like the mist (which I sprayed on the brush (applicator) before I put it in the blush) gave me more use out of the blush, even though I had the same amount of product on the applicator.
I also tried it with eyeshadow, but I couldn’t tell a difference. I also didn’t have an adequate applicator, but, anyway.
I sprayed the mist after applying the makeup, but since I didn’t go anywhere after applying said makeup, I couldn’t really tell if it actually set. But, I will tell you that my face was not dried out after putting on the makeup, and the makeup didn’t run.
In conclusion, I will be using this spray again. Definitely for hydrating my skin, but also for makeup application. I want to try to at least use it the way it’s meant to, not just me finagling my way through using a product for something that is quite foreign to me.
If you wear makeup, you will probably have more luck with it than I have.
Thank you for reading my first beauty product review! I’ll try better next time.
I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
