Isn’t there a rule about not starting a book with weather?
I know I read that somewhere, but if you know me, you know that I pretend to follow the rules. Back in fourth grade I started a short story with weather, and my teacher loved it. Ok, ok, so I’m not in fourth grade anymore. Oh well, I’m leaving it. I was, sincerely, trying to think of other ways to start the story. But, I kept coming back to the weather. So, I shook my head and went on with it.
By the way, I rewrote the first sentence of that novel that I’ve been complaining about not being able to write. And to be honest, I like my new first line.
And yes, it will start with weather.
And yes, I am happy.
