Book Review: ‘Seagrass Pier’ by Colleen Coble

If you like Nicholas Sparks, you’ll like Colleen Coble.  There’s romance and suspense, and it takes place in a summer home on the beach.  I liked that is was an easy, enjoyable, relaxing read.  It’s a book that I would pick up to pass the time.  There was no challenge of faith in the book.  Coble mentions God a couple of times, but it didn’t really have a faith-based message.

I would recommend this book to those who need something to read.  It was entertaining, the writing was simple, there was nothing complex about this at all.  The story was very easy to understand.  But after you get to know the characters, there are no surprises.  You knew how they were, and they stayed that way.

There is a side story that ended without an answer.  I wonder if there is going to be a second book to go farther with it.  If not, I’m not sure what the point of it was.

Overall, I would give it four stars.
